This week’s challenge is to write a poem about your favorite holiday. I wrote mine about Christmas and its traditions!

Christmas

With snow and frost

and wind in the air,

it’s Christmas Day

and everyone cares

 

Kids run downstairs

with pajamas all cozy

Their as excited for presents

as they are nosy

 

Under the lighted tree

are presents of all kinds

They race fast ahead of their siblings

so they get the best finds

 

Sitting by the fire

thinking of holiday joys,

drinking hot chocolate,

and playing with toys

 

With presents all around,

kids drift off to sleep

as memories of the day

spin round and round

 

They dream of

ugly Christmas sweaters,

eating cookies,

and cozy winters
